Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Education Program

I chose to come to Belhaven because…this is where the Lord led me.  I visited the Belhaven campus and saw that it was a school that was focused on Christ.  I recognized a strong sense of community among students, and came to believe that this was a place that prepared young people for serving people and glorifying Jesus in whatever field they chose.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…is my friendship with my roommate, Ann Chestnut.  We didn't meet until the end of our sophomore year, and we've now been friends and roommates for two years.  We've laughed, cried, and grown together, and I have no doubt that we'll be friends for the rest of our lives.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University… I will be well equipped to enter the teaching field, I will have the tools necessary to be an effective teacher, and the foundation necessary to live a life that glorifies Christ.

One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Evolutionary.
