Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Education Program

I chose to come to Belhaven because… I wanted to go to an out-of-state school to play softball.  I was recruited by the softball coach at a national tournament in Florida, and I was very excited when I was asked to play for Belhaven.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University… I'm not sure if I can just name one relationship that has meant a lot to me. However, I can definitely say that the people here make it feel like home.  I loved meeting people from all over the world who have very diverse backgrounds, and I loved how close I became to my classmates—who have become my second family.  I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to play softball with, and I have made friends from almost every academic department.  In particular, I have to give thanks for two people who were my guidance and strength when I was learning about the Lord and giving my life completely to Him.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University… I can fulfill the dream I've had since 2nd grade and become a teacher! Belhaven has made it possible to pursue this long-standing goal, and I am very thankful that I am now equipped for the high calling of education.

 One word to describe my experience at Belhaven:  Ordained.  There is not a doubt in my mind that God brought me to Belhaven for a reason, and it amazes me how each student here has an interesting story about how the Lord brought them to this place.
