Student and Alumni Spotlights for the History Program
Name: William Rossman
Hometown: Baton Rouge, LA
Fact: Climbed three Colorado Rocky Mountains in one summer.
I chose to attend Belhaven because... I loved the Godly faculty and the Christian curriculum. The Christian environment and focus on learning was what attracted me to this school. My older siblings came here first, and their positive descriptions and reports of the school also helped me to decide that this was where the Lord wanted me to earn my degree and further advance my learning.
One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University... probably the opportunity to sit in the cafeteria with faculty members and learn and grow through these times of fellowship is what means a lot to me. Having this kind of quality student to teacher relationship is more common here than it would be at a larger, or secular school. Also, it's been amazing how I have made great friends amongst the students, who all come from various backgrounds, yet are ready to be friends with others.
Because of my degree from Belhaven University... I plan to teach History or English at a high school either here in Jackson, or back in my hometown of Baton Rouge. Later on, as the Lord leads me, I may come back to BU for a Master's degree.
One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Inspiring
