Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Psychology Program
I chose to come to Belhaven because… I wanted the chance to compete in collegiate athletics without sacrificing a Christian environment. When I joined the Belhaven Soccer team, I found a band of brothers who worked for each other and were part of one another's lives. I still keep up with my teammates, and I have many fond memories from my experiences there. One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…I learned a lot from my interactions with Professor Don Hubele, as a student and as the Editor of the Quarter Tone newspaper. He really asks a lot of his students, and asks even more of his Quarter Tone Editors. It is a great thing to have a professor who believes in you, and trusts you enough to make judgment calls when the time is right. I am very grateful for those times. Because of my degree from Belhaven University… I am a second year Law student at the University of Mississippi, and I have found that a degree from Belhaven is looked on very favorably in Mississippi and far beyond. One word to describe your experience at Belhaven: People—they are the hidden treasure of Belhaven. I realize that more each day. |
