Fact: Because I am so "into" psychology, people don't know I love to draw, paint, play bass, and write.
I chose to come to Belhaven because... Ultimately, because I want to be a "thinking" Christian. I feel that understanding and appreciating both God's Word AND God's Creation is vital. Overall, I felt that Belhaven would help me to grow as a thoughtful Christian by not sacrificing academic excellence or critical thinking, while still holding to biblical standards.
One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University... I would have to say that my psychology professor, Dr. White, has meant the most to me. Inside and outside of the classroom, he has challenged my thinking and really helped me to grow intellectually and spiritually. Because of my degree from Belhaven University... I have been challenged to grow spiritually and intellectually in a profound way. From psychology to calculus to American literature, my professors have been really caring, and I can tell that they invest a lot in their students. My education at Belhaven, as well as encouragement from the faculty, inspired and enabled me to apply for graduate education as well. I've recently been accepted into a Ph.D. program in Psychiatric Neuroscience.
One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Worthwhile
