Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Social Work Program

I chose to come to Belhaven because…this is where God directed me. I was looking at Belhaven for dual enrollment, and I started talking with a Belhaven student and intern, Ellie, who I later had the opportunity to go to Ukraine with for six weeks as interns. She and I started talking, and she said that she attended Belhaven. I was interested and had the opportunity to visit the school and the rest is history.

The relationship that has meant the most to me while attending Belhaven…is with the teachers. I have really appreciated the opportunities I have had to talk and get to know Dr. Gaddis and Mrs. Johnson, and have learned a great deal from them.

Because of my degree from Belhaven…I can eventually open up my own private practice for counseling, as well as be a missionary overseas.

One word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Growth.
