Student and Alumni Spotlights for the Social Services Program

I chose to come to Belhaven University because…Initially my choice was based on finances and location. I had an excellent scholarship opportunity here at Belhaven and was already living in Jackson. It turns out that it was a great decision, and I have enjoyed my time here very much.

One relationship that has meant a lot to me while attending Belhaven University…has been that of my advisors. Both Angela Gaddis in the social services department and Joseph Frost in theatre have been amazing positive influences in my life as a student. They have given me so much support and encouragement as an individual, as well as direction and encouragement for my talent and potential.

Because of my degree from Belhaven University…I feel prepared for life after college. Whether that involves seeking work immediately, continuing my education, or whatever else God has in store for me, I know that I have learned so much at Belhaven that I will use in my daily life.

One Word to describe my experience at Belhaven: Empowering.
