Dual Enrolled Students
Belhaven University offers on-campus and online options for our high school and home school students:
On-Campus Dual Enrollment
Belhaven welcomes area high school students to be dually enrolled and take college classes while still enrolled in high school. This program offers highly qualified high school students the opportunity to earn college credits at Belhaven while they are enrolled in high school. Students may take one course per semester at the College, provided that the course does not interfere with their high school curricula. To be dually enrolled, the student must:
- Apply for admission and pay the $25 application fee - online payment form
- secure a letter of recommendation from his or her high school counselor and
- must have a minimum composite score of 21 on the ACT or SAT I combined score of 1070 on the critical reading and math tests.
High Scholars Dual Enrollment
Students participating in the High Scholars Program can apply to receive college credit for these courses. By successfully completing the two year High Scholars program, high school students are qualified to receive up to 24 college credits. Upon completion of this two year program, students may be exempt from Belhaven's Worldview Curriculum if they attend Belhaven after high school. Visit the High Scholars Dual Credit Admission page for more information.
