The annual Square Dance is open to all Belhaven University students! Come out in your best getup and join the Belhaven Activities Team as we dance square-dance style! There will be food and refreshments in the Student Center and the fun will begin at 8:00pm!

Braves Night: *First Weekend-
The Mississippi Braves are hosting Belhaven University! The game starts at 6:00pm at the Mississippi Braves Stadium in Pearl, MS and enjoy fireworks after the game. Tickets are $3. Come by Cleland Hall, Suite 101, to reserve your ticket early through Friday, August 22nd. Meet in the Student Center at 5:15pm on Saturday to carpool, or meet at the stadium before the game at the first base ticket box office. Directions to the stadium will be in the residence halls and on the first floor of Cleland Hall. This event is brought to you by the Belhaven Activities Team (BAT) and Belhaven Intramurals. The intramural volleyball season is coming soon and this is where you need to be to sign your team up for the 2014 season. The sign up table will be located in the front of the Student Center from 11AM – 2PM. If you have any questions about rules and team requirements the intramural’s team will be there to assist you in any way.

CRT Interest Meeting-
The new intramural staff has developed a new and improved plan for the 2014-2015 year and want you to be a part of the action. Come check out the promising plans and ideas of the new Campus Recreation Team to see how you can help. There will be an interest meeting in the Cooper Room, located in the back of the café, beginning at 9:30 AM and will last no later than 11 AM. If you enjoy intramural sports, this is a great way for you to get connected.

If you’re looking for a great time to spend with friends outside of the dorms or classroom, drop by the Aux Gym from 8 PM – 10 PM to have some fun. Intramural Volleyball  Season-
Intramural volleyball is the perfect combination of fun and competition. If you were able to sign up for a volleyball team, now is the time to have a blast and compete for an intramural championship. Get your team and your game plan ready because the intramural volleyball season is about to begin! All volleyball games will be played in Rugg Arena and will be scheduled on the following dates: 9/2, 9/8, 9/10, 9/11, 9/15, 9/17, 9/18, 9/22, 9/24, 9/25, 9/29, 9/30, 10/1, 10/6.

Coffee and a Calling-
Stop by the Shoebird Café in the Student Center to enjoy a time of refreshments and fellowship. There will be a number of community organizations represented at this event that will each speak on their organization and give a better understanding as to what they do in the community. This is a great way for students to get plugged into the surrounding community and make a difference!

Red Bus Project-
The Red Bus is a double decker red bus imported from England that has been transformed into a thrift store & tours to college campuses to raise funds and awareness for the global orphan crisis. Students are able to donate to the Red Bus Project, shop for clothes on the bus, and learn about how students can make an impact on the global orphan crisis!

Operation Christmas Child Collections-
Come show your support and aid Samaritan’s Purse outreach project in Operation Christmas Child. There are donation boxes located in Cleland Hall to collect essential items and toys. You could be the change and provide Christmas for countless children in need.

Students are able to partner with Food for the Hungry by helping Food for the Hungry get sponsors from those in attendance at the MercyMe Concert at the Fair! As a bonus, students will be able to watch most of the concert, and explore around the fair when they are done at the concert for the evening.

Celebrate this year’s Homecoming Court and annual festivities at the annual Homecoming Dance! The dance will be held at the Mississippi Children’s Museum from 8:00-11:00pm.
