Intramurals
Intramurals exist to provide a direct way for students, faculty, and staff to get involved in student life by participating and competing in several events and games across campus while creating and developing friendships. The Intramural’s Sports Program consists of Men’s, Women’s, and Co-ed leagues in all sports! Our main Traditional sports include; Volleyball, Dodgeball, Basketball, Soccer, with many other non-traditional’s on the side. Beyond the Intramural Sports Program, we provide students with great opportunities to gain employment on campus.

Meet the staff of the Intramurals team at Belhaven University.

Mike Texidor, Coordinator of Student Leadership & Intramurals An Indiana Wesleyan University graduate, Mike earned a degree in Sports Management with a concentration on Recreation Management. While at Indiana Wesleyan, Mike was a member of the Wildcats’ Intramural staff as well as a manager of the Men’s Varsity Basketball Team. A resident of Clinton, MS with his wife and son Kaiden, Mike serves as the Coordinator of Student Leadership & Intramurals. He provides direct oversight to the Intramural program as well as assists with various aspects in the Office of Student Leadership, including New Student’s Orientation, Chapel Administration, and leadership development. Samantha Massoth, Student Coordinator of Intramurals Samantha is a junior from Batesville, MS, majoring in Sports Medicine/Pre-Med. Samantha is in her first year of service in the position of Student Coordinator of Intramurals on the Belhaven Leadership Council. Samantha has served the past two years as an Intramural Official as well as a Recreation Supervisor. She is also a member of the Belhaven Softball Team and the Belhaven Activities Team (BAT). Samantha adds a powerful leadership style to the intramural program based on teamwork and dedication. Samantha says, “I enjoy being a part of the Intramural program to witness the connections of diverse groups which the Intramural program brings to the Belhaven campus.” |

Chelsea Deleon, Intramural Intern Chelsea is a junior from Houston, TX, majoring in Sports Medicine. Chelsea is in her first year of service in the position of Intramural Intern. Chelsea previously served as an Intramural Official her sophomore year. She is also a member of the Belhaven Women’s Soccer Team and the Belhaven Activities Team (BAT). As the Intramural Intern, Chelsea will assist the Coordinator of Student Leadership and Intramurals with programming seasonal and non-traditional IM sports throughout the year. Chelsea says, “I am very grateful that I am able to step into this position and I am ready to see how God can use me through Intramurals to connect and reach out to the students at Belhaven.” |
