Student Ministries

The ministries on campus exist to better serve and reach the students of Belhaven for Christ. The different groups strive to impact the spiritual well-being of students in various ways including worship, Bible studies, and various leadership opportunities. Each ministry contains a diverse group of people dedicated to the purpose of building community in the lives of those at Belhaven. McNair Great Commission Fund

The McNair Great Commission Fund exists to create energizing experiences for Belhaven University students by: a) challenging all Belhaven students to be cross-cultural missions-minded in all careers and b) challenging all Belhaven students to consider and evaluate their call to full-time cross-cultural missions.


Anchored exists to create monthly events for intentional fellowship time for the community of Belhaven women (students, staff, and faculty) with the intent of spurring friendships that continue far beyond these gatherings.

RUF exists to glorify God by reaching students for Christ and equipping students to serve.  This is accomplished through large group meetings for praise and worship as well as instruction from the Bible, small group studies, and one-on-one meetings.  They meet Tuesdays at 9pm in Barber Auditorium.

FCA exists to support athletes, coaches, and all whom they influence in the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
They meet Mondays at 9:00 pm in Student Center Theatre.

Missions Emphasis Week

Julia Willcoxon - Ministries and Programming Coordinator

Student Ministries exist to provide Belhaven University with opportunities for students to engage in large group, small group, and other events hosted by Christian ministries.  The two ministries on campus are Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).  The Student Ministries office seeks to provide students with ministry opportunities, connecting points, and support in their walk with Christ.
