Think Center

The Think Center is every Belhaven student’s home for academic success services.

The Think Center not only houses the primary services of Student Affairs retention and academic support, but will also grow to its full potential as new programs are developed from the collaborative efforts of the Student Success and Academic Units.

Understanding that “space matters”, the Think Center provides an innovative and dynamic location that supports collaboration, individual work and peer assistance through flexible furnishings, work spaces and technology.

Think Center staff will work with students in both “traditional” areas of academic adjustment such as study skills and time management, and in helping students understand more about their own thinking processes and how they best learn.  Academic labs will have the Think Center space as a resource for a more centralized location in which to meet with students in need of tutoring.

With its location on the first floor of the Hood Library, the Think Center integrates perfectly into academic space that is central to the University’s mission.
