Dr. KC Chew is the China DBA Academic Director and Professor of Business Administration at Belhaven University, joining the institution in 2021. With a rich academic and professional background, Dr. Chew brings knowledge and experience to his role.
In his current role, Dr. Chew wears many hats. He is responsible for managing faculty onboarding and contracting, scheduling, and training dissertation chairs for Chinese faculty members. He is crucial in evaluating dissertation proposals and designing project-based dissertation processes. Dr. Chew also contributes to curriculum revision and improvement and coordinates course development.
Before joining Belhaven University, Dr. Chew had a distinguished career with over 35 years of financial services experience, including 30 years in management and senior management positions. He also has over a decade of leadership consulting experience in for-profit and nonprofit organizations, with consulting experiences spanning Asia and North America. He has worked for US, German, French, and Canadian companies.
In addition to his professional and academic roles, Dr. Chew has made scholarly contributions as an invited panelist at the Annual ISOneWorld Conference on Knowledge Management Strategy.
Outside of academia and work, Dr. Chew enjoys reading and traveling. He is married to Christine and has a daughter named Lydia. Dr. Chew is actively involved in his church, serving as an elder at Sunset Church in San Francisco, California, and as a church leadership consultant. He has also played a pivotal role in starting a Master of Leadership Development program at the Bible College of Malaysia and currently serves as the program advisor for the institution.
