Dr. Roller serves as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Belhaven University. She studied chemistry and humanities at Azusa Pacific University, where she learned to enjoy researching the interplay between science, faith, and culture. She is a contributing author of A Compass for Deep Heaven, where she explores C. S. Lewis’s views on science and faith. In her doctoral work at the University of Notre Dame, she developed scalable manufacturing methods for low-cost paper devices to screen for substandard and falsified pharmaceuticals in the developing world, and she created paper microfluidic devices for inquiry-based lab experiments. Dr. Roller loves working with students and has received multiple teaching awards. When she’s not in the classroom or the lab, you’ll find her reading, writing, playing violin, drinking decaf Earl Grey, and going on long walks with her dog, Sir Franklin the Ever-Vigilant.
