Doug Eltzroth serves the Belhaven community through overseeing the worship activities in Chapel. His passion is to encourage the entire campus to experience a spiritually enriching time together that collectively challenges students to explore the depths of God’s truth and love through this weekly worship gathering. This year, Doug is excited that moving Chapel to a video format allows the “worship service” structure to involve even more student/faculty connections through testimonies, interviews, and artistic expressions.
Doug manages The Shoe Bird Café and thoroughly enjoys working alongside several members of his family and a team of student baristas to provide a valuable space not only for enjoying excellent locally roasted coffee and other treats, but also a place for studying and fellowship.
Doug has called Jackson his home for the last 17 years. A proud Belhaven dad, all 3 children graduated Belhaven and now live close by with their spouses, (two of whom are also Belhaven grads) with grandbaby number 4 on the way.
