Jackson, MS - Belhaven College President, Dr. Roger Parrott, has been elected to the board of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU). President Parrott will be formally installed at the board’s annual meeting on February 6 in Washington D.C.
“Roger was selected by his peers because of his expertise in the field, proven leadership, and commitment to America’s college students,” said NAICU President David L. Warren. “He assumes his responsibilities at a time of great challenge and transformation for American higher education.”
NAICU is the leading national associated representing private higher education, serving as the unified voice of nearly 1,000 independent college and university presidents, and specialized, state, and regional associate executives, NAICU member institutions enroll nine of every ten students attending a private college of university in the United States.
“Belhaven is seen as a leadership institution in the arts, curriculum development, and innovation,” said Dr. Parrott. “And so I’m thrilled they have honored all that is happening on our campus, by electing me to the board of this key higher education organization.”
