August 18, 2009—The Belhaven College Theatre department will present Paper Wings, written by Gillette Elvgren, from September 15-19, 2009. This production is a part of Belhaven’s new “Theatre 151,” which is the theatre department’s innovative series of performances that explore challenging topics and inspiring material.
Written by one of the most prolific Christian playwrights in America, the award-winning play Paper Wings tells the story of a young couple whose marriage is challenged when the wife, Jamie, experiences a conversion to Christianity and begins the process of healing her old wounds, straining her relationship with her unbelieving husband, Stan. Paper Wings is directed by senior Moriah Whiteman.
All performances are at 7:30 pm in the Belhaven College Center for the Arts, classroom 151. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and tickets may be purchased through the Belhaven Box Office (601-965-7026 or boxoffice@belhaven.edu). General Admission, $10; Seniors/Students, $5.
