November 24, 2009: Belhaven College is celebrating Christmas on the Memphis campus by giving to those in need. Three organizations will benefit from donations made by Memphis staff and students: Toys-for-Tots, Dress for Success, and Backpacks for the Homeless.
Toys-for-Tots donations will be accepted through November 30, and the donations must be new, unwrapped toys. Backpacks for the Homeless and Dress for Success donations will be accepted through December 15, and items such as gloves, socks, stocking hats, snacks, and blankets are needed for the backpacks. Don Jones, Director of Admission, says, ““We are honored to support the missions of Christ’s church with these organizations. We are giving to those who are truly in need. Last year, we had 35 participants give of their time, energy, and money to make our campaigns successful, and we can’t wait to see the outcome of this year’s Christmas drive.”
