June 20, 2011 (Jackson) - A total of eight Belhaven students were appointed to the National Honor Society of Sigma Zeta on April 13, 2011. Sigma Zeta is a national honor society for math, biology and chemistry majors. The main goal of Sigma Zeta is to encourage and foster the attainment of knowledge in the natural and computer sciences and mathematics, and to recognize members who gain high scholarship. Sigma Zeta is just one of the many organizations and honor societies Belhaven students are involved in. Belhaven local chapter includes the following inducted students:
