April 3, 2012 (Jackson) - The second installment of the 2012 Best of Belhaven performance is Monday, April 16 at 7:30 pm in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.
Students from the Belhaven Music Department will present a variety of the most outstanding performances of the semester in one powerful concert. This concert is a second chance for those who missed one or all of the many performances during the semester.
Dr. Stephen Sachs, Professor of Piano and Music Department Chair, said, Best of Belhaven II highlights the finest work of our student musicians each semester, with a smorgasbord of musical treats--everything from piano works, instrumental pieces and solo songs to chamber music, musical theatre, and new compositions.
This exciting and diverse concert gives the audience a glimpse into the many concentrations available through Belhavens music degree program which include: Collaborative Piano and Pedagogy, Composition, Music Ministries, Musical Theatre, Performance and Vocal Pedagogy and Choral Conducting.
