May 4, 2012 (Jackson) - Jake Donald, Associate Director of Admission, was recently appointed to president of the Mississippi Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO).
The purpose of MACRAO is to contribute to the advancement of higher education and to advance the offices of admission counseling, admissions, registration and records in Mississippi institutions of post-secondary education.
Suzanne Sullivan, Director of Admission, said, “Jake is a great leader and well respected by his peers. He is so passionate about his work in admission that he truly makes a positive impact on each student and family he comes in contact with. His enthusiasm is contagious! I know he’ll do a great job leading the MACRAO organization this year and it will be a stronger organization as a result.”
MACRAO is made of admission and registrar professionals from private and public colleges around the state. Donald will be leading the members of MACRAO towards professional development, while finding better ways of serving students and promoting higher education. The organization also plans college fairs around the state and works with high school counselors to provide students with a direct line into higher education.
