February 11, 2013 (Jackson) - Charles Grant Stevenson (11) is a Belhaven teacher graduate who was selected as the 2012 Teacher of the Year for the Noxubee County School District.
He earned his Masters of Art in Teaching from Belhaven Adult Studies Program and is currently the assistant principal at Noxubee High School and is pursuing his doctorate at Mississippi State University.
Stevenson said, "...I am so thankful that I enrolled at Belhaven to obtain my master degree. That program was the stepping-stone to really push me to remain in education. From the professors to the curriculum and classmates, I gained valuable skills and relationships that have helped me significantly over the past few years.
