May 3, 2013 (Chattanooga) - Kym Chavez was named the new Dean of Faculty for the Chattanooga and Atlanta campuses.

Chavez received her Bachelor of Science in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and her Master of Business Administration from Mary Hardin-Baylor. She served as a Battery Commander and Battle Captain in the U.S. Army as well as leading the III Mobile Corps' Volunteer Adopt-A-School Program at Fort Hood, Texas before leaving to start a training consulting company. For the past 15 years, she worked as a Performance Improvement and Organizational Development Expert designing leadership development and assessment programs for manufacturing, government, insurance and customer service companies internationally.

More recently, she was appointed the Director of Training for the Volkswagen Academy where she and her team trained over 4,000 team members, managers and executives for the launch of the Passat manufacturing plant in Chattanooga. She has been married to her husband, Jose for 23 years and has two sons, Amador and Zavier.
