February 6, 2014 (Jackson) - Career Services is hosting its annual Belhaven Career Boot Camp for our traditional students on February 13 in the Student Center. This year’s boot camp will host a panel of human resource directors from the Jackson community to discuss and answer student questions on how to be competitive in today’s job market.
Students will then have the opportunity to network with businessmen and women and practice sharing their two-minute professional summary. The day will conclude with mock Interviews. Every student will have at least two mock interviews and be judged on various factors, then given direct feedback from the interviewer.
Claire Langley, Director of Career Services and Work Study Coordinator, said, “ The Belhaven Career Boot Camp is an investment into the future of our students. Practicing their interview skills with professionals who can give them direct feedback is invaluable, not to mention the networking opportunities that will be available. Missing this event is missing out on building your competitive edge in a tough marketplace.”
Students can register online and need to upload their resume in order to complete registration.
