April 4, 2014 (Jackson) - A Belhaven University administrator is among those being selected for one of the state’s top honors for young professionals. Chad Wallace will be inducted into the 2014 class of “Top 40 Under 40” as selected by the Mississippi Business Journal.
The awards program recognized Mississippians who have established themselves as up-and coming business and community leaders before the age of 40. The “Top 40 Under 40” edition will be published in May.
Wallace serves Belhaven as its Digital Communications Specialist and is responsible for web marketing and social media strategy and development for the traditional and online campus, as well as leading efforts at our six adult and graduate campuses and assisting with the overall public relations efforts for the university. His efforts have led to record engagement on BU’s social media platforms, which serve nearly 50,000 combined students, alumni and community members.
“Chad is a wizard in connecting people through social media,” said Dr. Roger Parrott, President of Belhaven University. “I’m especially impressed with what he does because he understands social media is not about rankings, followers, or “likes.” It is a marvelous vehicle for all of us to share our lives with a broader group of friends, and help us to share the joys and needs of each other and of the whole world.”
Wallace will be honored at a luncheon on April 4. He and his family are active members of Madison Heights Presbyterian Church, where he has served on the diaconate.
