August 28, 2014 (Jackson) - The Belhaven University Department of Music is pleased to present a special guest piano recital by Mr. Tim Dail on Saturday, August 30. Dail will be playing selected pieces from composers including Franz Liszt, Aaron Copland, William Bolcom, George Gershwin and Earl Wild. Admission is free and begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.
Pianist Tim Dail is heard frequently as a performer in the solo and collaborative domains. Following graduation from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Dail continued studies at Florida State University and the University of Southern Mississippi.
Dail has been a participant in the London Master Classes, Oberlin Piano Festival, Meadowmount School of Music, Colorado College Festival and was a Fellow at the Manchester Music Festival. His competition success includes prizes at the NFMC, MTNA, Guthman Keyboard, Alcorn State National, Northwest Florida Concerto and Ars Flores Competitions.
Dail teaches piano at William Carey University. Formerly, he was staff accompanist at Belhaven University and a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Southern Mississippi.
