January 31, 2014 (Jackson) - High school students and their parents are invited to attend Belhaven’s Science Discover Day on February 7, 2014. This day will be similar to other discover days, but focus on Belhaven’s science and nursing programs.
Suzanne Sullivan, Assistant Vice President for Traditional and Online Admission, said, “We want you to see for yourself the quality of our science programs. We've always had great instructors and our students have been well prepared for their options after graduation, but now we have an amazing facility in Fitzhugh Hall for our science and nursing majors!”
Students who attend will participate in several lab demonstrations as well as interact with current science students and science alums. “We want you to experience what learning is like in a state-of-the-art science facility and give you a chance to engage and connect as you would as a science major at Belhaven,” adds Sullivan.
Science Discover Day will also give prospective students and their parents an inside look into college life at Belhaven University and an opportunity to hear from President Roger Parrott. Participants will get to tour the campus, meet with professors and staff and learn more about your major. Belhaven Admission Counselors will be available to discuss enrollment, financial aid options, campus life and to answer any questions. Register online or contact Belhaven’s Admission Office at admission@belhaven.edu or call 1-800-960-5940.
