October 7, 2014 (Orlando) -Belhaven Orlandois pleased to announce the addition of fournew degrees to its on campus offerings. The programs include:
Associate of Arts in Business
Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies
Master of Education - Educational Technology
Master of Education - National Board Certification
The Associate of Arts in Business helps students earn the general education credit requirements needed to continue and complete a four-year bachelor's degree.
The Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies offers students a unique opportunity to enhance their education and individually format their curriculum. Students complete their course work from three area concentrations, rather than a single subject major.
The Master of Education (M.Ed) offers an emphasis in both National Board Certification and educational technology. The benefits of an emphasis in National Board Certification can strengthen practice and expertise, help teachers improve student performance, develop leadership skills, advance careers and offer higher salary potential. The emphasis does not lead to National Board Certification, but prepares teachers for the application and testing process.
An M.Ed with an emphasis in educational technology can enable the student to expand their technological expertise and qualify them for a computer applications endorsement. In today's classroom the use of technology in education has become popular and many teachers are seeking supplemental knowledge in this area.
