January 23, 2015 (Jackson) - Belhaven Career Services will host a LinkedIn and Resume Workshop for its on-campus students on January 29, 11 a.m. in the Student Center Theatre to give them an extra advantage for future employment.
A good resume can sometimes be your one and only chance to capture a potential employer's attention. The job market after college is competitive and having an impressive resume and professional connections can make all the difference when applying for a job.
“I believe our students can benefit from this workshop,” said Greg Hawkins, Dean of Students. “This is a great opportunity for students to discover the skills they need to market themselves in the employment process. A student's resume is a vital document in the hiring process. This workshop helps our students learn the skills needed to articulate who they are as a professional as well as increase their chances for interviews and ultimately, positions of employment.”
