April 15, 2015 (Jackson) - The Instrumental Arts Concert on April 18 will feature Belhaven's Wind, Jazz and Jazz Guitar Ensembles. Dr. Paxton Girtmon, Associate Professor of Music, said, “With a variety of ensembles, a confluence of improvisational genres and styles, this concert will deliver a unique musical flavor! This is a musical stew with all the ingredients including contemporary jazz, some original Belhaven Blues and a side dish of gospel music, (jazzed up of course). In short, it's going to be fun!”
This free concert in the Belhaven University Concert Hall will begin at 3:00 p.m. and include a diverse range of music and an exciting mix of instruments coming together for the first time.
