September 6, 2017 (Jackson, Miss.) - Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie will premiere at Belhaven's Barber Auditorium September 27-30, 2017. The play is directed by Elissa Sartwell, associate professor of theatre, and is one of the most loved and produced plays of all time.
The Glass Menagerie reveals ways in which people try to simultaneously cling to and escape from their memories. Often cited as Williams' most autobiographical work, this play is a fragile masterpiece that launched his career as an American playwright.
