October 3, 2018 (Jackson, Miss.) - Ezekiel is a devised collaboration featuring original theatre and music compositions from students and faculty in Belhaven's Theatre Department and Music Department. The play, premiering October 24 in the Barber Auditorium, explores and manifests the visions of the Old Testament prophet through sound, movement, staging, design, and text.
“The play is full of powerful visions of exile and restoration,” said Joseph Frost, director of Ezekiel and associate professor of theatre. “We're so excited to be in this collaborative process, creating this play while representing the images in the scriptures through movement, sound, and music. It's developing into a very physical and inventive piece of theatre - an engaging meditation on the biblical text.”
