October 30, 2018 (Jackson, MIss.) - Belhaven's Symphony Orchestra Concert will showcase masterworks from several well-known composers on Friday, November 9. The University's top student and faculty musicians will perform C Major Symphony byFrench composer Georges Bizet.
The concert will also showcase Tchaikovsky's Polonaise from Eugene Onegin and more. In addition, the new music from Professor of Music Dr. Andrew Sauerwein will debut as a special performance. This free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. and will be held in the Center for the Arts Concert.
“You won't want to miss our most exciting and brilliant performance with our music students, faculty, and outstanding community players,” said Song Xie, Associate Professor of Music. “I'm very proud of our student musicians with the Belhaven Symphony Orchestra. They have worked hard to achieve a higher level of excellence for this concert.”
