December 10, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - Money.com has recognized Belhaven's quality and affordability, and honored the University with the 2019-2020 Best Colleges for Your Money accolade. This is the first time Belhaven was added to this “Best Colleges” roster. This comprehensive list showcases a wide variety of schools, ranging from elite colleges and public universities to smaller, specialized colleges.
“We take great pride in receiving the title of 2019-2020 Best Colleges For Your Money,” said Dr. Kevin Russell, vice president for university enrollment and marketing. “It's important for others to see how Belhaven's competitive pricing and strong scholarship opportunities give students a top quality, Christ-centered education at public university prices.”
In building their rankings, Money.com focused on the three basic factors that surveys show are the most important to parents and students: quality of education, affordability, and outcomes.

Money.com's rankings include only U.S. colleges that have sufficient reliable data to be analyzed. Colleges must have a graduation rate at or above the median for their institutional category, or they must fall in the top 25% of the value-added graduation analysis.
This ranking is one of many for the University, and other organizations have recognized the value of a Belhaven degree. For the 13th consecutive year, Belhaven was honored as America's 100 Best College Buys for its affordability and financial aid available to its students.
For nine consecutive years, Belhaven has been recognized as a Christian College of Distinction and its nursing, business and education degrees were recognized for their excellence. U.S. News and World Report released its “Best Colleges” edition, and for the sixth year, the University was named among the top regional colleges in the South. U. S. News also rated Belhaven a top college offering online bachelor degrees and a leading college for veterans. Additionally, Belhaven has been honored as a Military Friendly institution, and the University was named one of America's Best Christian Colleges.
