June 5, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - On May 3, 2019, the Belhaven Chapter of Sigma Beta Delta inducted 10 new student members from the traditional program as well as Belhaven's adult and professional program.
Director of Human Resources Sherry Overby spoke to the inductees and charged them with the pursuit of integrity even in difficult seasons. The chapter also inducted Sherry Overby, Will Tabor, assistant professor of business administration, Rick Upchurch associate vice president of Belhaven's Regional Campuses, and Antwon Woods, assistant professor of sports administration.
Sigma Beta Delta International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration is a prestigious honors society that currently has over 250 chapters in 40 states. In the fall of 2007, Belhaven University became the first Sigma Beta Delta Chapter in the state of Mississippi. The tenants of Sigma Beta Delta are wisdom, honor, and the pursuit of meaningful aspirations. Students nominated to join must exhibit exemplary character and achieve scores in the top 10% of their program.
