January 24, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - TheGraphic Design Departmentwill host the exhibit “Emerge,” featuring the work of student designers. This is the seventh annual show for student designers, featuring a collection of the best work from the year, and it will include various print, packaging, web/multi-media and brand design exploration.
The exhibit will begin with an opening reception February 9, 2 p.m. in the Bitsy Irby Visual Art and Dance Center Art Gallery. This show is a juried exhibition, in which judges from prestigious design studios and advertising agencies select the work to be seen in the show.
“As a juried exhibition by professionals, our students consider it a huge honor to be selected as featured artists. The very talented Que'undra Gill, Brittley Hatten, Kendall Jackson, Erica Rempel, Gracey Vaughn, and Zoe Walker will have their work on display. We are so grateful to have the local graphic design community involved in this show and able to give our students valuable insight as they study graphic design.”
