November 18, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - DOXA Emerging Choreographers Concert is November 22-23 and will feature two nights of creative choreography and performances from emerging students in theBelhaven Dance Department.
DOXA, which means “praise” in Greek, is a student-led dance organization where members create and perform original works. “Dance is powerful and can be a used in a way to encourage others,” said Krista Bower, chair of Belhaven's Dance Department. “DOXAexists to provides tudent leadership, foster a supportive community, and expand creative opportunities within the dance department, thus glorifying God and enriching the educational opportunities available to all Belhaven students.”
Performances will be in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio Theatre at 7 p.m. each night. General admission is $10 and $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free for all Belhaven students, faculty, staff and their immediate families.
