April 3, 2019 (Jackson, Miss.) - Belhaven's finest classical musicians will take the stage and offer a masterful orchestra and strings concert on Friday, April 5, 7:30 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.
Faculty and students fromBelhaven's String Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra will showcase beautiful string solos and chamber groups at this free concert.
Belhaven musicians will play a variety of the great symphonic orchestra works that include Carl Maria von Weber's “Oberon Overture,” Carl Neilsen's “Maskarade Overture,” and Edward Elgar's “Nimrod.” The concert will also feature brilliant solo and chamber compositions from Pytor Tchaikovsky, Astor Piazzolla, and Alexander Borodin.
