Annual 24-Hour Theatre Event to Feature Original Works

August 22, 2023 (Jackson, MS) - Belhaven’s 24-Hour Theatre Event is this Saturday, August 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the Blackbox Theatre. Teams of talented students will present 10-minute plays that they had only 24-hours to write and rehearse. Admission is free and the doors open at 7 p.m. 

“Teams consist of a writer, director, stage manager, and two to three actors that all work to create a scene as hilarious or heart-wrenching as they want,” said Hannah Gosnell, president of Belhaven’s Alpha Psi Omega. “Each scene must incorporate three provided props and three lines blindly chosen from the participants’ own submissions. The scenes are performed on Saturday evening in a free show that is guaranteed to have you laughing, crying, or laughing until you're crying. No experience is necessary to join in on the magic!”
