Emerging Choreographers Concert 2023 Happening This Week

October 24, 2023 (Jackson, Miss.) - DOXA’s Emerging Choreographers Concert 2023 is October 27-28 and will feature two nights of creative choreography and performances from emerging students in the Belhaven Dance Department.

DOXA, which means “praise” in Greek, is a student-led dance organization where members create and perform original works.

“Dance is powerful and can be a used in a way to encourage others,” said Krista Bower, chair of Belhaven's Dance Department. “DOXA exists to provide student leadership, foster a supportive community, and expand creative opportunities within the dance department, thus glorifying God and enriching the educational opportunities available to all Belhaven students.”

Performances will be in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio Theatre and begin at 7 p.m. each night.

General admission is $10 and $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free for all Belhaven students, faculty, staff, and their immediate families. For tickets, email dancetickets@belhaven.edu.
