Student-Led Dance Concert Highlights Creative Expression

November 6, 2024 (Jackson, Miss.) - DOXA’s Emerging Choreographers Concert 2024 is November 15-16 and will feature two nights of creative choreography and performances from emerging students in the Belhaven Dance Department.

DOXA, which means “praise” in Greek, is a student-led dance organization where members create and perform original works.

"Dance holds a unique power to inspire and uplift others," said Krista Bower, chair of Belhaven University's Dance Department. "DOXA was created to cultivate student leadership, build a supportive community, and broaden creative horizons within the department—bringing glory to God and enriching the educational experience for all Belhaven students."

Performances will be in the Bitsy Irby Visual Arts and Dance Center Studio Theatre and begin at 7 p.m. each night.

General admission is $10 and $5 for seniors and students. Admission is free for all Belhaven students, faculty, staff, and their immediate families. For tickets, email dancetickets@belhaven.edu.
