Symphony Orchestra to Perform Brahms and Sibelius in Free Concert

November 1, 2024 (Jackson, Miss.) - The Belhaven University Symphony Orchestra is set to deliver a memorable performance of symphonic masterworks on Friday, November 8, at 7 p.m. in the Center for the Arts Concert Hall.

Under the direction of Belhaven’s accomplished music faculty, the program will showcase the beauty of Johannes Brahms’ “Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98” and Jean Sibelius’ hauntingly lyrical “Valse Triste.”

Audience members are invited to arrive early, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m., for this evening of orchestral elegance. Admission is free, giving the Jackson community an accessible opportunity to enjoy an inspiring evening of classical music.

For those unable to attend in person, the concert will also be livestreamed on the Belhaven University Music Department's Facebook page, ensuring the music can reach listeners near and far.
