Thursday, September 12, 2024: Classes will not meet, and administrative office will work from home on Thursday, due to the high winds and torrential rain expected from Hurricane Francine.

The safety and security of Belhaven University’s students, faculty, and staff are our top priority; therefore, we want to provide you ample time to arrive home safely prior to the forecasted strong winds and heavy rain associated with Hurricane Francine.
Belhaven University will close at 1 pm today, Wednesday, September 11.
On Thursday, September 12, 2024 classes will not meet, and administrative office will work from home.
Residence halls will remain open and dining services will remain available during this timeframe.
Belhaven University Campus Security, Maintenance, and Housekeeping will be monitoring any issues on campus throughout the storm. For on-campus residents please continue to communicate with your Resident Assistants and Resident Directors.
Classes, administrative offices, and on-campus activities are expected to resume beginning at 8am on Friday, September 13, 2024.
Your safety is our top priority. Please exercise caution throughout the duration of the storm. Use your best judgement in making the decision on commuting to campus in the next couple of days.
In the event that you feel travel is too risky, proactively communicate that decision with your Faculty and/or Supervisor.
Please closely monitor local media outlets for updated information as the storm approaches. Any future changes to the campus operating/class schedule will be communicated to the Belhaven University community as quickly as possible.
