Location Matters

Living in residence halls enhances your college experience. You find yourself in the middle of campus activities and close to your classes.

It can be less expensive, too. Students who live on campus are more likely to graduate on time. They report higher satisfaction with their college experience. Living here will be your haven.

Some Students Must Live on Campus

If you have earned fewer than 54 credit hours, are single and under the age of 21, you must live on campus.

If you live nearby with a parent or legal guardian, in their permanent home, you may request an exception.

A professional Resident Director (RD) lives in each hall to manage an environment that integrates learning and Belhaven’s values. Resident Assistants (RAs) are student leaders who live with the students and assist the RD in maintaining an environment in each hall that is conducive to living and learning.

Residence Hall Staff

All of our residence halls are staffed by a professional Resident Director (RD) and a team of student leaders who serve as Resident Assistants (RAs). Together, they are committed to helping our residential students adjust to life at college while growing academically, spiritually, and socially. RAs are some of the first people you'll meet when arriving at Belhaven as a new student and they are eager to help you get oriented to your new Belhaven home.
